These exclusive limited edition pouches come from ENN LIVING WORKS in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture - the hometown of TKC's founding sensei, Shigeo Kimura. Each piece is crafted using traditional indigo-dyed sashiko fabric, the same material used in kendo uniforms.

The artisans at ENN bring over 20 years of kendo experience to their craft. Their expertise and quality were recently recognized when they were chosen to create special bags for Team Japan at the 2024 World Kendo Championships. Their philosophy of "Born in Japan, with thoughtfulness and value" reflects in every piece they produce.

By purchasing these commemorative pouches, you're not only supporting TKC's 45th anniversary celebration but also helping strengthen the bonds between our club and Sendai's kendo community.

Traditional Front

Crafted from authentic indigo-dyed kendogi fabric, the front face carries the same distinctive texture found in traditional kendo uniforms. Each pouch showcases the beautiful sashiko pattern that kendoka have known and respected for generations.

Contemporary Back

The reverse side features durable canvas in your choice of bold red or classic blue, bringing a modern accent to this traditional craft. This thoughtful contrast symbolizes the bridge between kendo's rich heritage and its vibrant present.

📦 Getting Your Pouch

Pouches will be available for in-person pickup at our 45th anniversary event in 2025.

Local kendoka who can't attend the event may be able to collect their pouch during regular practice sessions, depending on our total order volume.
